What to Expect
New Patient Consultation
The main purpose of this visit is to discuss your problem, for your Chiropractor to determine the underlying cause of your problem and to determine whether chiropractic treatment will be able to help you. Once your Chiropractor has gathered all of the necessary information regarding your pain of complaint, they will then take the time to form a detailed diagnosis and plan of management which will be discussed with you during your Report of Findings appointment.
Your Chiropractor will take a full case history, previous health history, and conduct a thorough neurological, orthopaedic and chiropractic specific examination. If you are taking any medications, it is useful if you can bring a list of these with you.
If your case is suitable for chiropractic care and providing that you do not need medical imaging (X-Ray/ MRI) you will receive a treatment on the first visit.
Should we deem your case not appropriate for chiropractic care, you will be referred to the relevant medical specialist.
Depending on your condition, X-Rays or MRI scans may be necessary to help analyse and diagnose conditions that may require a different form of treatment. This only occurs on rare occasions and everything will be fully explained beforehand.

The Report of Findings
On your second visit to us, your Chiropractor will correlate all the exam findings, with the details of your health history and create a bespoke treatment program to suit your needs.
Explain clearly and visually the findings from your first visit.
We will explain what the problem is, what it will take to correct the problem, how long it will take and the costs involved.
An individual plan is recommended and you decide what course of action best suits your needs.
A re-examination date is set for the future to repeat the tests and show your progress objectively
The type of treatment you receive will depend on the care plan your Chiropractor has devised for you.
Most treatment plans include some Spinal Manipulation, Specific Stretches, Soft Tissue Work and Rehabilitative Exercise.
The number of treatments you will need will depend on the severity of the complaint, how long you have been in pain, your age, your weight and general fitness level. Typically, the longer you have been in pain, the longer it takes to get better.
Our Care Packages are designed to make our services even more accessible to our patients who require multiple treatments. For more information about our Care Packages please get in touch with the clinic.
Care packages are not recommended for everyone. During your report of findings discussion, your chiropractor will make you fully aware of the cost of your treatment.
